CFD Associates is a service organization of consultants who provide professional simulation and analysis of the fluid flow and heat transfer problems often encountered in industry. CFD Associates uses commercially available computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) software. Our simulations are performed on state-of-the-art Silicon Graphics ® and PC workstations. We specialize in helping small companies who want to outsource their CFD requirements and supplement larger companies in-house CFD capabilities.

We are a group within the Department of Civil Engineering engaged in the development and application of turbulence models and solution procedures to problems in heat and fluid flow.

SES Process Technology

The process industries present a broad range of challenges in the areas of fluid flow, thermal design and mass transfer. SES meets these challenges by providing design, analysis, and testing of process equipment and systems through its Process Technology Group. Using advanced computational tools such as Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) modeling, finite element analysis (FEA) and custom-written fluid system simulations, the Process Technology Group offers our clients the opportunity to improve their equipment and processes while avoiding the time and expense of traditional "build and test" methods. This predictive analysis technology is complemented by our expertise in developing special-purpose tests used to diagnose problems, provide design data, and validate final designs.
